Mmmm Winter…

Well, with our first real “snow storm” it finally feels like winter. I often wonder why I live in South Dakota when winter gets here. I really hate the cold, but… I think a good chunk of it has to do with the fact that the snow at least makes it feel more like there is a reason for it being cold. It seems much worse when it’s -30 outside and there isn’t even snow on the ground. At least with snow, you expect the cold.
We actually got a fair bit of snow in this little storm. Nothing like the 6 feet of snow I remember growing up, but at least an inch or three is on the ground depending on where you are. I heard from the parental units, apparently they have drifts upwards of 10 ft. high, completely snowed in because of them. Fortunately, they have a snowblower, so I think they’ll be ok. 
As for me, I’m cold.
