Devil Wears Prada

So, this weekend the woman convinced me to go see The Devil Wears Prada. I must admit, I thought it looked a little girly and stupid from what I had heard about it, but it ended up being a very good movie. It’s about this girl who wants to be a journalist, but ends up getting basically an internship at a fashion magazine in hopes of making contacts, etc. to get a job eventually. She ends up basically as the assistant to the head lady who’s awesomely mean.
There are a couple scenes that stand out. One of which is where the intern has angered the dragonlady, so she makes her do all these impossible tasks, like demanding her steak from a famous restaurant at 10am when it doesn’t even open until 11:30. Random things like that.
Also, there’s one conversation that stands out, where the intern is talking with one of the other employees who’s trying to look like a model, she goes “I’m on this new diet, well… actually I don’t eat anything at all… and when I feel as if I’m about to faint, I eat a cube of cheese. It’s going great! I’m about one stomach flu away from my goal weight!”
It’s classic in the way it capture how I feel the fashion world really is. 
I saw two homosexual men in line for Devil Wears Prada when Holli and I were in line for Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest. That was all I needed to see to NOT see the movie.
That’s amazing… I saw two lesbians in line for Pirates of the Carribean when I was in line for Devil Wears Prada.
