The last couple of weeks the roommate and I have picked up a couple 80’s classics. I’m not sure why, but for some reason these movies haven’t lost any of their appeal. It’s weird how movies today are neat for one or two viewings, but after that… meh, if I never saw some again I wouldn’t feel bad.

However, some movies stand up to the test of time so much better than others. It’s like Tom Hanks, you could watch Bachelor Party over and over, and it’s still funny… but how many times can you watch The Terminal? That’s not to say they both aren’t great movies, just some can be seen over and over and are still just as entertaining as the time before, while others… well, let’s just say they get old quick.

Over the last week it was mainly a John Cusack fad. It started off with Say Anything (1989), and then I was forced to go out and buy Better Off Dead (1985) … and since those purchases, I’ve been kindly reminded that The Sure Thing (1985) is also up there on the list for awesome 80s Cusack films, of which I will be desperately searching for next time I hit up Best Buy.

So, if you have time or spare cash around, go out and get these films:
