Hooray. I received the following notice yesterday:
“I am pleased to inform you that the MSIS Admissions Committee has met and you were admitted to the Dakota State University Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program. This is an informal announcement. You will be receiving an official letter in the next two weeks.“
It’s official (well, mostly… “informal” right now, but still official), I am in graduate school!
I realize I should have done this long ago, perhaps right after I received my undergraduate degrees. However, at the time, I was ready to be done with school, and get “a real job.”
As fun as working is, I still have higher ambitions and I feel school is the right way to go. Additionally, I want to get started on it as soon as possible, that way it gets done instead of just saying “someday…”
Congrats. Try not to make any of your professors cry.
