The other day I was trolling the Internet, as usual, and I found a funny little online show, produced by Felicia Day, called The Guild.
“The Guild is a independent sitcom webisode about a group of online gamers. It is written for gamers, about gamers by a gamer. Episodes vary from 3-5 minutes and length, and follow the Guild members’ lives online and offline.”
I believe there are five (5) episodes out so far, with more to be coming in January (or at least filming).

Additionally, there is a special episode, The Guild Christmas Carol:

Overall, I am very impressed with this little production. It probably helps that it focuses around my nerdy habits, so I find the jokes and references incredibly funny.
Though I have always been curious how productions like this get by. I mean, unless it’s a small group of friends who all do it for fun. My assumption is that usually actors/locations/etc. sound like they would cost a lot of money. I guess that’s what being a producer is all about… having money! I wish I was a producer.
In any case, I’d recommend checking out The Guild, stop by the Episode List and watch them in order… things always make more sense in order.
She’s great.
