Browsing the Internet, I came across a site representing the Hydrogen Atom Scale.

Before you view the site, I will warn you that it is an excessively wide page, although it loaded just fine in Firefox. Overall, the site does a very good job explaining just how small the electron is compared to the proton, however I was most intrigued by the conclusion:

“I used to think that things like rocks and buildings and my own skeleton were fairly solid. But they’re made up of atoms, and atoms, as you can see here, contain so little actual material that they can barely be said to exist.

We are all phantoms.”

I couldn’t help but chuckle at that. “We are all phantoms!”
