Widget: XBOX Live! Gamer Card
Ok, so I lied. I ended up creating the XBOX Live! Gamer Card Widget much faster than I expected.
To be honest, I had a slow day at work, so it was something quick and fun to work on. Even though it’s a little tiny project (basic php & html), it’s fun to be doing some code again.
I had to do some modifying from my original plugin, I did make a very simple little configuration interface (maybe to simple), but it gets the job done.
To the right is a screen capture of the XBox Live! Gamer Card widget configuration screen.
I’m much happier with the new Widget versus the old plugin. With the widget, I simply activate the plugin through WordPress, then select which sidebar I want it to be on. No additional code, no modifying themes. Just magic at it’s finest!
Nice.
I like it. I realize it’s not the most “awesome” thing out there, but I like making little things that are actually somewhat useful.
It’s even more neat on the dootdoot blogs where other users can make use of it.
