HylaFax FaxDispatch

On Friday we had a near-meltdown when Sendmail started acting up. As a last resort, we switched to Postfix, which saved the day by offering a much cleaner e-mail solution, and not to mention a working solution again.
Today I spent some time confirming all of our settings within HylaFax, and also setting up some additional customizations, primarily within the FaxDispatch file. The FaxDispatch file allows you to route incoming faxes based on certain criteria, whether it be Caller ID, the number receiving from, or even the device on which his being recieved.
In our case, we setup routing based on the incoming fax number. This allows us to setup confirmation for known fax numbers. For example, we have a gentleman working out of state, and he always uses the same fax number. Now when he sends a fax back to us, he will receive a confirmation e-mail sent to his e-mail when a fax is received from one of the two known phone numbers he faxes from.
All in all, HylaFax is a very slick solution for a Fax Server. It was defiantly worth the 10 sample faxes we had to send to ourselves to verify everything worked properly. Yes, 10. There was a bit of guess-and-check work involved.
