Today’s primary task, building an array on a new server. This is an incredibly boring and time consuming task. We are pretty much at a stand-still until this completes, and unfortunately it will end up taking nearly the whole day.

This has allowed me some free time today to look into some pricing for upgrades we’re looking at, as well as clean out some more of my inbox. ;)

Sometimes a slow day is needed.

I wish I would’ve brought my Systems Analysis and Design work with me. I could’ve made some significant progress at the office today. Instead, I’m going to have a stressful evening dealing with that. I need to keep reassuring myself that it is almost over, and that I need to keep focused on it until it is…

Heh…. I remember when we had a CRESH project have 2 hard drives fail and then after rebuilding a third one failed and I spent about 50 hours out of 3 days at the office.

IBM support guy said we’d never get the data back and day 3 everything was production like nothing happened.

One of the reasons I dislike IBM support.
