For Christmas, Sonja got me an iPod Nano! I had gotten her a 2nd gen nano a couple years ago for Christmas. I really wanted to get one for myself, but then they sold out and stepped up to the 3rd generation nanos which were these little square players that I wasn’t as fond of.

Luckily for me, this year Apple re-introduced the bodystyle of the 2nd gen nano, but with additional capabilities like video and some interface tweeks, like the new Cover Flow.

I have to admit, I am incredibly impressed with Apple’s User Interface on the iPod. It’s almsot enough to make me want to buy an apple desktop, but then I see the pricetag of configuring one and I remember why I still don’t have one! :)

As for the iPod though, it is really great. I can’t quite say the same for iTunes, which is… alright. It does the job it needs to, it’s just not as awesome as the iPod itself. Of course, the first things I put on my new iPod were two videos: The Lonely Island – Jizz in My Pants video, and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Everything after that is pretty trivial…

I also took advantage of my left over PepsiStuff points (expires 12/31) and picked up several mp3′s from Amazon.com. Now I finally feel like I have a reason to rip the rest of those CD’s I have to add to my iTunes libary so I can put them on the iPod.
