Is it Friday?
The weekend isn’t getting here fast enough. Although I am growing increasingly concerned that I will not be able to enjoy the Holiday weekend due to work projects getting behind.
This has been a particularly bad week for myself. We have some large projects to complete, and I am getting a lot of what feels like push back and/or uncooperativeness from co-workers and vendors. Without going into too much detail, I will let you in on a little secret… I am not magical. Shocking. I know.
Completely unrelated, I would like to pick up Illustrater and After Effects and learn to make Typography videos. It sounds like it would be a fun time-waster that is a project that has next to do with the type of things I do at work. However, I have a feeling it takes more time than I would be able to dedicate to it, not to mention those tools are expensive. Maybe someday.
I’ve been trying to get into those as well. Wish I had my educational discount still. The full set of “everything adobe” is like 300 bucks on education.
If you get me more info on the exact software you want, I can put it on the Christmas list and encourage others (i.e. your parents) to buy that for ‘ya.
Remind me closer to Christmas.
By then I’ll probably want something else anyway.
Like a new hard drive. Maybe two. 2x 2.0TB.
@Andy - The student edition of the suite is $1000 or so, but thats a bit of savings over buying them individually at student rate =/
student is one thing, education for an office is another… Nicole has it
They’re the same price though, ~300-350 for student editions, with a discount for buying the full suite.
A few terabytes of hard drive space would be a good gift and just make use of some nice free software
I don’t want you to want something else. If you got this software you could play around with it in the office while I scrapbooked. It could be “Sonja & Mike’s fun time with computers/each other.”
you need a computer for fun with each other? wow…
