Do you hear that? The sound of silence. Some of you may remember a time when a woman by the name of Sarah Palin was in the running for the Vice Presidental spot. Her name was mentioned non-stop until November 5th, 2008… the day of silence. Today you hear about Sarah Palin on the media about as much as you did on August 28th, 2008.

I’m looking forward to this weekend of drinking many beers. I’m going out tonight with some ex-coworkers of mine to a MicroPub and then tomorrow to go watch the UFC 91 fight. Nothing like some liver damage.
Sunday will be my recovery day sitting infront of my computer playing WoW all… day… long! It’s time to get working on reaching level 80 and get one of my alt characters to The Outlands.

Well today I will vote for the first time in my life. For the last 10 years I have been eligible to vote, and I refused because I believe most politicians are dirty crooks and my vote doesn’t count. After the last 8 years I have decided, I’m going to do anything I can to prevent… well.. the last 8 years. I do believe in making my vote secret and only hope whoever I vote for wins!

I cannot believe it’s November already. October went out with a bang like always with the celebration of Halloween. I had a lot of fun and woke up this morning with a headache, so I’ll chalk it up as a good evening lastnight. We now have the election in 4 days and Thanksgiving (mmmm… turkey) around the corner. I hate that life goes faster as you get older. We need to do something to fix this problem.

This last weekend I went camping with some friends of mine. The weather was beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better. Now I’m excited to go again. We’re actually planning a winter camping trip some time in February. Camping in February in Texas really isn’t as bad as you might think. Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be cold, but I think we could manage it.
I would have to say the interesting time of the weekend was when a nice skunk decided to wonder into our campsite while we were sitting around the camp fire. Luckily after 10 minutes of very little movement (in the fear of scaring this black and white creature and getting sprayed with the lovely scent and aroma of what Wikipedia describes as “a combination of rotten eggs, garlic, and burnt rubber”) the little guy decided to go wander off back into the woods. Thank you Pepé Le Pew.
