Just going about day by day tasks, out network monitoring solution is acting very funky.

Sure enough, some of the .MYI files are missing.  This is a really simple fix that for some reason other people I know couldn’t find a way to fix.  To fix these issues, there is a simple command but first you might as well check to see if there are other errors.  So start by using the mysqlcheck utility.

mysqlcheck -A –auto-repair

This will tell you what tables are fubar’d

To repair them log into mysql and run the following command.

repair table <tablename> use_frm;

I’ve read the use_frm is often unnecessary, but to my experience its always required when mysqlcheck can’t fix them automagically.

Weekend update: had fun this weekend hanging out with some friends.  Beers were drank, burgers were ate, wives were made to compete in darts to see if one would get a horseride on her honeymoon or if the other would get to go on a summer vacation.

My new toy arrived on Saturday.  The dog sort of likes it.  The cat is its usual attitude of apathy towards it.

Some work is starting to pile up be it at work, homework, or random other work.

After reading a short news article today I believe sausage dog is officially my new preferred nomenclature to wiener dog.  And for all parents that were considering getting their little girl a pony but your only hiccup was that horses are often trained to jump fences FEAR NOT!!!!!  For I have your solution here.

After all, the fence was definitely the show stopper on purchasing a horse for your darling daughter.  It had nothing to do with the feeding, grooming, or massive poops you’d have to deal with.

Look at the title of this post.  Assume that I inserted the name of my company or talked about a specific decision they made that I thought was dumb.  Does that seem bright?
I don’t think so either, but for some reason people are shocked why they are fired, not hired, or reprimanded over them being a complete idiot on the internet.  Here is a good example at fox news.  Not only did they guy say something bad about his employer online, but he did it on facebook where people were immediately told “hey dumbass made a comment” and its linked straight to his name.

People do actually read the things you put on facebook/etc.  Don’t be dumb

edit: Apparently I put some sort of thing that the parser hated into the original title.  Now it has one.

So I and a few others I know are a bit behind on computer upgrades for playing games.  Just don’t spend as much time keeping up with what the latest hardware options even are let alone buying them.  This is an option to speed up your PC a little bit while still postponing the hardware refresh.
