Curly Locks

I have a natural wave to my hair. Previously this has caused a lot of havoc because I am forced to do something with my hair to appear “put together.” However, if my hair were to get wet, or if I were to step into humidity, my hard work would be for not.
Last night a hair dresser from Dimensions taught me a method to coax the curl out. The method is simple: wash hair, towel dry hair, put gel into hair, diffuse hair, and put more gel in hair. I was really pleased with the result. My hair holds curl better than I would have imagined. I received several compliments today at work. The style is still from yesterday, I have yet to see if I can create the same effect on my own! Nothing ever seems to be as easy as it appears in the salon.
I hope I am able to re-create the look. I would enjoy having variety in my style. Plus it would make vacations to humid tropical locations more pleasant. No more poof ball. 
I hear you on the whole ‘natural curl in humidity’ thing.
