“Twilight” by Stephenie Meyer

Recently I picked up a copy of Twilight, a novel by Stephenie Meyer.  Twilight follows the story of a young woman, Bella, who moves to a small town called Forks to live with her father.  She begins high school as a junior.  There she meets several of the characters, the main character being Edward Cullen.  Bella and Edward develop a relationship and throughout the novel she learns Edward is a vampire.  The story revolves mostly around their relationship and the challenges or dangers it creates.  I really enjoyed this book!  It captured my interest immediately and I found myself unable to put it down, always wanting to know what happens next.  The author had great imagination and even had fresh takes on things relating to vampires (i.e. feeding, sunlight, sleeping, behavior, etc).  Considering the amount of books, movies and television series that revolve around these characters, that’s a hard feat.  I’ve already picked up the sequel New Moon.  To my elation they also plan to make this novel into a movie, apparently it’s popularity caught on.  To see the trailer click here!

  3. That’s cute. I’m excited to get further into the series. I know the books are “meant” for teens but that didn’t stop me from loving the Harry Potter series!

  4. My sister is a huge fan of this book as well. With the positive response I’ve heard from two unrelated sources, I may just have to check it out. I’m a sucker for vampires (in a non-sexual way, of course (not really! (I mean, yes, really) ) ).
