Atlanta 2009

As part of my job I do occasionally have to travel. For those who know me, this is probably my least favourite part of my job. It’s not that anything goes wrong or that it is a horrible experience, but more so that I have a small comfort zone, and I appreciate the ability to come home to my own place at the end of the day.

This week I had to travel to Atlanta for an Officer’s meeting. The meeting itself went well, we discussed some major topics within the company and even set a small road-map of how we are going to achieve goals to address some current issues, as well as prevent future ones. A small little part of me felt a minor victory here. :)

As of about midnight tonight, I am home. I must admit that there is always something glorious about arriving home. The only bad thing is, I still have to go to work tomorrow. Lame.

See, on occasion, I’d like to be able to travel for work to places other than small towns… KC is the biggest I’ve done so far for work. My vegas trip has been cut unfortunately… so methinks we need a Deadwood trip…

Psh, my biggest work trip was to Vermillion. Some of the towns I travel to don’t even have hotels…

Oh, the work travels. I remember hotel rooms in Santa Clara and Princeton. Interesting experiences, but not the highlight of Certus employment. I feel your pain. I’m hoping the only work travel I have to do these days will be conference travels.
